Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales.
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing inventory to ensure an attractive shopping environment.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders.
- Support store operations by managing retail math calculations for transactions and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures.
- Promote store promotions and new products through engaging communication and upselling techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in guiding team members or managing daily store functions.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash register operations, and retail store product knowledge is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette will help foster positive customer interactions.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations confidently.
