We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Duties
- Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff during examinations and procedures.
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams to aid in diagnosis.
- Handle dogs and cats with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist in post-operative care as needed.
- Provide education to pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- NYS License in Veterinary Technology is required.
- Experience with animal restraint techniques and handling is required.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and their pets.
