Legal Assistant — Personal Injury / Medical Malpractice Litigation
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years of experience with Florida litigation procedures and deadlines
- Personal injury or medical malpractice experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective problem solver able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Comfortable using and learning new software and technologies
- Willing to train on and apply artificial intelligence tools in case work
- Spanish preferred, but not required
Duties & Responsibilities
Litigation Support & Discovery
- Draft, prepare, and serve discovery requests and responses
- Draft and serve subpoenas; organize documents responsive to subpoenas
- Submit medical records and public records requests
- Draft, format, edit, and combine exhibits
Filing & Court Coordination
- Handle state and federal court filings
- Schedule hearings and upload documents and orders to CourtMap, Broward CMS, and similar systems
- Coordinate hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Calendar deadlines and set up Zoom links for remote proceedings
- Send documents to the process server for service
Trial Preparation
- Assist with trial prep and organize hearing exhibits
- Prepare hearing binders
Technology & AI
- Train on AI processes and integrate AI into case presentation and detailed case analysis
Additional
- Serve as online notary (training and licensing provided)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: approximately $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience

- Full-time, in-person
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (one-hour lunch)
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
