Position Overview
Our established residential property management organization is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Residential Leasing Manager to oversee leasing operations for a portfolio of rental properties.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of customer interaction, administrative responsibilities, sales, marketing, and fieldwork. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating with property owners and prospective residents, and taking ownership of leasing performance from initial marketing through move-in.
The Leasing Manager will oversee the leasing lifecycle and work to minimize vacancy while maintaining a professional experience for clients, applicants, and incoming residents.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the leasing process for available residential properties from marketing through lease execution and move-in
- Evaluate market conditions and recommend competitive rental rates
- Communicate with property owners regarding pricing, activity, market response, and leasing progress
- Coordinate and conduct property showings and tours
- Respond to prospective resident inquiries and assist prospects throughout the leasing process
- Coordinate advertising and marketing of available rental properties
- Prepare and maintain accurate rental listings and property advertisements
- Process rental applications in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements
- Prepare lease documentation and move-in materials
- Coordinate pre-move-in property documentation and condition reporting
- Track leasing activity, vacancy performance, and departmental goals
- Maintain compliance with applicable fair housing requirements, leasing regulations, and company policies
- Identify opportunities to improve leasing performance and operational efficiency
- Provide oversight, direction, and support to leasing support staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure properties are prepared for marketing and resident move-in
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Two or more years of residential leasing, property management, real estate, or related experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Real estate broker license is a plus but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Comfortable managing multiple properties, prospects, and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong customer-service skills with the ability to professionally communicate and enforce policies
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Comfortable using technology and learning property management and leasing software
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to travel locally to properties and conduct property tours
- Ability to occasionally work Saturdays as business needs require
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work both in an office environment and remotely when necessary
- Must successfully complete required background screening and drug screening

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
