Responsibilities
Assist licensed plumbers with the installation and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Prepare job sites by organizing tools, materials, and equipment needed for daily tasks. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, thread, assemble, and install piping according to schematics and blueprints. Support in reading construction blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation procedures. Help with basic maintenance tasks on plumbing equipment and construction site facilities. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency throughout each project. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members.
Experience
Previous experience in construction or handyman work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Familiarity with construction site environments, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Knowledge of plumbing systems, schematics, pipe threading, welding basics, HVAC concepts, or carpentry can be advantageous. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning plumbing techniques and construction processes. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety standards. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors during projects. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to plumbing installation, remodeling, maintenance, and field service tasks.
