Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to support the development and well-being of children aged one and two years old. You will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that promotes early childhood growth and learning. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development while fostering positive interactions with families and team members. Duties
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play, exploration, and structured activities
- Supervise children closely to ensure their safety during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, naps, and transitions
- Support children’s social-emotional growth by encouraging positive behavior, sharing, and cooperation
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards including proper sanitation practices
- Support classroom management strategies to promote respectful behavior and effective routines
- Assist with diapering, feeding, administering basic first aid or CPR when necessary, and following mandated reporting laws for any concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred
- MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE
- MUST be a team player, reliable, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is strongly recommended or willing to obtain upon hire
- Can communicate effectively with parents, children, and co-workers
