We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Job Summary
The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner will evaluate patients, review MRI findings, develop individualized treatment plans, and recommend appropriate pain management interventions. The ideal candidate is confident interpreting imaging studies, making clinical recommendations, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and obtain detailed medical histories.
- Conduct physical examinations and assess pain-related conditions.
- Review MRI reports and clinical findings to recommend appropriate pain management treatment plans.
- Recommend appropriate procedures, including injections and other interventional pain management options based on imaging and clinical presentation.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain conditions.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards of practice.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing with certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license (Required).
- Current DEA, BLS, CPR, and AANP certifications.
- Previous experience in Pain Management is strongly preferred.
- Experience treating Personal Injury (Motor Vehicle Accident) patients is a plus.
- Strong understanding of MRI interpretation and pain management treatment recommendations.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
