Specialty Saw, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of precision carbide-tipped saw blades and industrial sawing solutions,. serving customers throughout North America. We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Mechanic to keep our advanced manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, improving machine reliability, and working in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery and other production equipment.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on CNC grinders, machining centers, hydraulic systems, and support equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Install, align, and commission new machinery and production equipment.
- Repair or replace bearings, ball screws, linear guides, motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, and other machine components.
- Perform machine calibration and precision alignment.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Maintain maintenance records and recommend improvements to preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company safety standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience with CNC equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and machine documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting servo drives, VFDs, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, and CNC controls is highly desirable.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, hoists, and other maintenance equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
