Key Responsibilities
Chairside & Clinical Support:
- Patient Preparation: Greeting patients, seating them, and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Treatment Room Management: Setting up, stocking, and disinfecting operatories.
- Instrument Handling: Sterilizing instruments and passing them to the dentist during procedures.
- Patient Care: Drying mouths with suction, applying topical anesthetics, mixing materials, and performing tasks like polishing or applying sealants (depending on state law).
- Radiology: Exposing and developing X-rays.
- Lab Duties: Pouring models, making impressions, and other lab tasks.
Patient Education & Administration:
- Oral Hygiene Instruction: Teaching patients proper brushing and flossing techniques.
- Record Keeping: Charting treatments, documenting findings, and updating patient records.
- Scheduling & Billing: Managing patient appointments and handling billing/payment inquiries.
Office & Compliance:
- Inventory: Monitoring and reordering supplies.
- Sterilization: Maintaining equipment like sterilizers and X-ray processors.
- Safety: Following OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and detail-orientation.
- Manual dexterity and ability to work on your feet.
- Valid state RDA license, X-ray certification, and current CPR card (requirements vary by state).
Work Environment
- Typically in a dentist's office, working closely with the dentist and hygienists.
- Involves wearing PPE (gloves, masks, safety glasses)

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
