The Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, execution, and growth of one or more SaaS products. This role drives alignment across cross-functional teams — including engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success — while building strong relationships with customers and business partners. Working alongside a team, the Product Manager sets product direction, conducts continuous customer discovery, and uses data and market insights to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of product management or related experience, strong communication and influencing skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage SaaS products end-to-end. A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technology, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus. Experience in healthcare technology or a regulated industry is preferred but not required. Travel of approximately 10–15% may be required to support partner and customer relationships and attend industry events.
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap for your assigned product(s), grounded in customer insights, market data, and organizational priorities
Conduct ongoing discovery including customer interviews, usability research, and competitive analysis to deeply understand user needs and market dynamics
Translate strategy into a prioritized backlog, using data and a clear framework to make tough tradeoff decisions
Define product direction and partner with the Product Owner to ensure development alignment from discovery through delivery
Define and track key product metrics (adoption, retention, revenue impact), using insights to continuously improve your products
Manage the full product lifecycle — from ideation and scoping through launch, iteration, and sunset
Lead product launches end-to-end, partnering with marketing and sales to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue
Develop internal training, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing resources to support successful rollouts
Identify market opportunities including conferences, industry events, and partnerships that can accelerate growth
Cross-functional Leadership
Drive alignment across cross-functional teams around a shared product direction, building consensus and momentum through influence and relationships
Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted voice of the product
Manage and grow strategic business partner relationships, including evaluating new partnerships and supporting contract negotiations with leadership and legal
3–5 years of experience in software product management, with hands-on ownership of a SaaS application
Demonstrated experience managing a SaaS product end-to-end, including roadmap ownership and cross-functional collaboration
Strong track record of using data and customer research to drive product decisions
Experience leading go-to-market efforts for product launches
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; you can communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Comfortable leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technology, or a related field
This is a hybrid role on the Quality & Compliance team, requiring in-office presence two days per week
Experience in healthcare technology or another regulated industry
Clinical background, such as a nurse practitioner, paramedic, registered nurse, or similar hands-on patient care experience; who can bring deep, practical insight into the needs of healthcare learners and providers
Familiarity with agile development practices and working alongside engineering teams
MBA or advanced degree
The salary range for this position is $89,637 - $115,000. Salary will be determined on the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and performance in similar roles.
