Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and production specifications to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Perform dimensional measurements and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) analysis to ensure parts meet design criteria.
- Execute quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and FDA regulations to identify areas for process improvement.
- Collect and analyze data related to quality performance, documenting findings accurately for review and corrective actions.
- Support calibration of measuring instruments and ensure measurement traceability in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues, collaborating with manufacturing teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of quality systems such as QA/QC protocols.
- Proficiency with measurement instruments including height gauges, calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), GMP, FDA regulations, and regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GDT symbols, and production documents accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing quality management practices to uphold product integrity.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and analysis techniques to monitor quality performance metrics effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
