Mountwest Community & Technical College is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Health Information Technology position. There is (one) position available. This is a full-time, 10-month, term, benefits eligible faculty position available beginning with the Fall 2026 academic term. The position is a hybrid position, with in office days required, and is subject to change as enrollment needs change. Salary: $45,000-$50,000 per year based on education and experience. Non-negotiable outside of the range. While overloads may be possible, these are not considered as part of the compensation package.Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include teaching a full load of courses (15 credit hours per semester) and program coordination duties, including preparation and compliance with the CAHIIM accrediting body. Responsibilities also include maintaining office hours, participation in curriculum development, assessment, clinical placement, advising, recruiting, and other assignments supporting division goals. Successful candidate will also be required to participate in college committees, participate in professional development activities, and other related duties as assigned. Must be willing to teach online, flex, hybrid, or any other type of modality. The hybrid nature of the position is subject to change at the college’s discretion.
