Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Process payments accurately through cash handling and cashiering duties while maintaining a positive guest interaction
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, acting as an Expo to uphold presentation standards
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing knowledgeable recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food handling, preparation, and basic food industry tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support openTable reservations management to optimize seating arrangements and guest flow during busy hours
- Uphold sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations, including proper food handling and kitchen cleanliness
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Proven ability in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures within the food industry
- Experience with upselling techniques and sales-driven approaches to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Basic math skills for cash handling, bill splitting, and transaction accuracy
