Summary
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in insurance defense litigation including premises, auto, PIP and New York Labor Law. This position is to be filled in our Long Island office. Salary is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and management of legal documents and case files.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and approaches.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting insurance defense.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong understanding of insurance law and litigation processes.
- Excellent legal drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools.
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.
