Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician, where you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal comfort and air quality in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform system troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on HVAC/R (refrigeration) equipment to ensure efficient operation
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams for proper installation and servicing of HVAC systems
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues with existing systems involving plumbing, mechanical components, or electrical wiring
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair or modify HVAC components as needed
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and inspection reports for all work performed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer in the HVAC industry with knowledge of HVAC/R systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration (a plus), boilers, and appliance repair
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for system installation and troubleshooting
- Experience with construction projects involving ductwork, piping (including plumbing), welding, and equipment repair
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles preferred
- Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles and property maintenance practices
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; ability to perform electrical repairs safely
- Mechanical experience with welding or boiler systems is advantageous
- Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients during installations or repairs
