Job Overview: Seeking compassionate caregiver for disabled adult female with intellectual disability
- Provide attentive supervision and care
- Implement engaging activities per consumer's plan of goals
- Ensure the safety of individual with disabilities
- Communicate regularly with guardian and other caregivers
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols
- Provide assistance with toileting and catheter needs(training provided)
- Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and relaxation
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated experience caring for people with special needs
- Experience planning age-appropriate activities that foster learning and social skills
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, or early childhood education is highly preferred
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with guardian and other caregivers
