Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish Speaking) dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support in general dentistry procedures, including endodontics and other specialized treatments.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Spanish speaking.
- Familiarity with dental systems and medical documentation processes is an advantage.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices, endodontics, dental surgery, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus.
