Regional Nurse Consultant / Regional Director of Clinical Operations- Skilled Nursing

We are currently assisting a leading provider of Long-Term Care in the search for a Regional Nurse Consultant to oversee Clinical provisions with 5 Skilled Nursing Facilities in Virginia.
The successful individual will be an RN with extensive senior leadership experience within Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. You will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and oversee a team of Directors of Nursing within the facilities. In total there are 50 Skilled Nursing Facilities, all of which are in the Mid-Atlantic, with an average size of 140 beds per facility. The successful individual will play a key role in shaping the clinical strategy and delivery across the facilities, whilst building a team capable of carrying the strategy forward to the facility floors. The region is key to the organization’s success and as such the successful candidate will have a prime opportunity to progress towards a Chief Nursing Officer position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a division framework and strategy to prioritize, delegate, and execute initiatives that align with the enterprise strategy for nursing operations
- Provide feedback to corporate and division on cross-functional initiative progress (e.g., recruiting, staffing and scheduling, etc.)
- Provide feedback to corporate on nursing initiatives, standards of care, and clinical processes based on key performance metrics (e.g., turnover, contract labor, etc.)
- Manage execution of nursing initiatives and strategies across the division
- Assist in the development of clinical protocols that use evidence based best practices to provide consistency and drive performance outcomes
- Evaluate projects or initiative strategic fit with the organization's objectives to guide the allocation of human, financial, and technological resources.
- Build strategic alliances and partnerships within the organization to collaboratively execute business strategies
- Engage regularly with facility leadership and staff to identify unique operational needs and assist with development of action plans
- Collaborate with Nursing Analytics contact(s) to track impact of initiatives across key nursing metrics (e.g., efficiency, quality, turnover, etc.)
- Monitor and evaluate reports consistently, highlighting areas of change / focus and suggesting action
Requirements
· Education: BSN required. MSN preferred
· License: Virginia RN License (or Reciprocity)
· Background/Experience: 10 years RN experience with 6 years progressive managerial experience
· Abilities/Knowledge: Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. Self-directed and autonomous with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrates the ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
· Understanding of best practice within Skilled Nursing provision.
· Innate desire to assist the elderly clients the facilities serve.
