Duties

Lead and coordinate the serving team to deliver smooth, efficient service during all shifts

Provide expert guidance on menu items, wine pairings, and beverage options to enhance guest experiences

Upsell food and beverage items to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement

Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry, sales transactions, and billing accuracy

Ensure proper food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols are consistently followed

Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

Assist with training new staff on service standards, POS operation including OpenTable reservations, and restaurant procedures

Open or close the restaurant and complete all tasks and paperwork
Requirements

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or upscale casual settings

Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures

Demonstrated culinary experience or food industry background with an understanding of food preparation and presentation

Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently during busy periods

Ability to upsell beverages such as spirits, wine, cocktails, and promote specials confidently

Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters guest loyalty

Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and check splitting

Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques

Previous experience in host/hostess roles or bussing is a plus; hospitality background preferred

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
