Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Team Lead – Picking to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our warehouse picking team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that order fulfillment is executed efficiently, accurately, and safely, supporting our commitment to exceptional logistics and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, manage inventory control processes, and implement continuous process improvements to optimize productivity. Your leadership will drive a positive team environment while maintaining compliance with safety standards and warehouse procedures.
Duties
- Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse associates assigned to picking operations.
- Monitor daily picking productivity and accuracy to ensure order fulfillment goals are met.
- Assign work, prioritize tasks, and adjust workloads as needed.
- Train, mentor, and onboard new warehouse associates.
- Participate in the hiring process by conducting interviews, evaluating candidates, and providing hiring recommendations.
- Conduct regular quality checks to minimize picking errors and improve efficiency.
- Ensure associates follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to resolve operational issues and identify process improvements.
- Track attendance, performance, and productivity, providing coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
- Assist with inventory counts, replenishment, and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the picking team during assigned shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- MUST BE BILINGUAL - ENGLISH & SPANISH
- at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- Previous experience interviewing, training, or mentoring employees is preferred.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality goals.
- Forklift certification is a plus (if applicable).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
