Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product selections to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting and well-presented
- Manage inventory levels through stock checks and communicating restock needs to supervisors
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction balancing
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move throughout the store efficiently, and handle physical tasks such as stocking displays
