Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion workplace safety and environmental health initiatives across our manufacturing facilities. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and environmental audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations and environmental management systems.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to prevent recurrence of workplace accidents or environmental violations.
- Coordinate safety training sessions including CPR, First Aid, OSHA standards, environmental health practices, and hazard communication to empower employees with essential safety knowledge.
- Monitor workplace safety metrics, maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training activities, and compliance documentation for regulatory audits.
- Collaborate with management to develop corrective action plans addressing safety deficiencies or environmental non-compliance issues.
- Stay current on evolving environmental regulations and occupational health standards to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices implementation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental regulatory compliance, hazardous materials regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or 40-hour training are highly preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental management systems (EMS), environmental health practices, and regulatory/legal compliance standards in production settings.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and report writing related to safety incidents or environmental violations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver effective training & development programs for diverse teams.
- Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation law and occupational health expertise to support employee health initiatives.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments to promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Pay: $51,693.96 - $62,255.09 per year
