If you were to accept this position, responsibilities would include:
- Interview patients, recording medical history and medication in our Electronic Health Records software.
- Conduct patient work-ups including measuring vision, Tonometry, Refraction, confrontation visual fields, and extra-ocular motility.
- Perform the following diagnostic tests: OCT, Visual Field, Topography, and IOL Master.
- Answer patient questions, address concerns, follow up questions and/or refer patient questions to providers as appropriate.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:
- Ability to maintain patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn ocular terminology and diseases and the abbreviations.
- Proficiency with computers is a necessary skill as all of our charts are electronic.
- Detail oriented
- Multitasking and time management skills
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on respect and compassion.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records.
- Scribing experience a plus!
