About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑driven Onboarding Specialist with strong experience in the trucking industry. This person will be responsible for onboarding new drivers, ensuring they understand company expectations, safety standards, and operational procedures.
We are specifically seeking someone who understands trucking, can communicate effectively with drivers, and can manage a fast‑moving onboarding process with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in‑person driver orientation sessions
- Complete all onboarding steps, including document collection, verification, and system entry
- Communicate clearly with drivers about expectations, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate with safety, dispatch, and fleet teams to ensure smooth onboarding
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company and DOT requirements
- Provide welcoming, supportive experience for new drivers
- Identify missing information and follow up proactively
- Assist with safety‑related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in the trucking industry is required (safety, fleet, dispatch, or driver onboarding experience preferred)
- Strong communication and people skills—comfortable speaking with drivers from diverse backgrounds
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple onboarding files at once
- Working knowledge of DOT requirements is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, in‑office environment
