Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, access control, and emergency response procedures. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure ongoing site security.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and restricted zones, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by following established protocols for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and Taser devices as needed.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities; maintain accurate logs of patrols and incidents.
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or in the event of criminal activity; support conflict de-escalation efforts with professionalism and tact.
Experience
- Prior experience in security services, law enforcement, military roles or related fields is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and manual handling of security equipment.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures such as first aid (including CPR), AED operation, fire safety protocols, and incident report writing.
- Familiarity with access control systems, conflict management strategies, and compliance with security regulations is essential.
- Ability to perform physical security tasks involving heavy lifting or manual handling when necessary.
- Strong customer service skills combined with conflict de-escalation abilities to manage interactions professionally.
- Certification in first aid/CPR/AED is preferred; additional training in firearm handling or Taser use is a plus.

Pay: $23.71 - $28.56 per hour
