This position is in the Driver Records / Ticket Unit, at SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, SC.
Responsibilities of the Office Manager II

Leads the UTT Unit which processes adjudicated uniform traffic tickets and ensures they are properly reflected on driving records, to include understanding which states utilize the electronic driving history record and necessary lookup tools to electronically report applicable violations.

Manager will ensure all work is done within the timeframes required by South Carolina law and agency standards.

Answers calls, emails, or other messages from both internal and external stakeholders, and ensures the unit is well staffed to support stakeholder engagement during typical office hours.

Trains team members and support them when necessary to answer questions related to UTTs. Resolves any necessary UTT errors in the agency-defined timeline and constantly looks for workforce improvements to better ensure efficient and accurate processing.

Studies South Carolina laws and DMV procedures that pertain to Driver Records and ensures employees have a clear understanding of the requirements for the work they do.

Answers questions for SCDMV personnel and courts, which may be vast in nature.

Advances the E-Citation ecosystem of South Carolina by being a subject matter expert on SCUTTIES and working with applicable departmental personnel to perfect the UTT lifecycle.

Ensures all unit personnel matters to include EPMS, disciplinary, interviewing, training, policy and procedure review, and requisites thereto are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Performs other duties as required by manager.

Minimum Requirements

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.
Agency Requirements

Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include finger printing.
Additional Requirements

Ability to plan, organize, direct and review the work of office supervisor and driver services specialists who report to the supervisor.

Ability to effectively communicate and process driver's licensing UTT work and policies and procedures related thereto.

Ability to write clear, concise instructions and reports.

Performs work with a high degree of judgement, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Must be able to lead and manage a unit of employees, be organized, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Responsible for managing the office supervisor of the Uniform Traffic Ticket Unit which processes UTTs and ensures driving records are accurately reflective of violations.

The office manager reports to the Senior Manager of Driver Records and receives general supervision under that position's direction.

Climate-controlled office environment in-person at SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, South Carolina.

Must have the ability to lift 10-15 pounds.

Limited travel may occur which would primarily be in the State of South Carolina but may extend beyond typical work hours.
