Job Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Chicago Area for a Spray Foam Assistant. The Spray Foam Assistant will support spray foam applicators in daily tasks, such as preparing work areas, operating and maintaining tools and equipment, and assisting in the application of spray foam insulation materials. The role involves adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a clean and efficient workspace while performing tasks both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, masking surfaces, and gathering necessary tools and materials for spray foam application
- Operate insulation equipment safely and efficiently to apply materials according to project procedure
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to prepare surfaces and install insulation
- Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials properly and cleaning equipment regularly
- Collaborate with team members including carpenters, roofers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities
- Conduct quality checks during application to ensure consistent coverage, proper curing, and adherence to specifications
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, gloves, and eye protection
Skills
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance, with the ability to handle and operate spray foam equipment, blow machines, etc
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to established safety standards and protocols
- Good communication and teamwork skills to support collaboration with other team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods and working in hot/tight spaces (attics and crawl spaces)
- Ability to wear proper PPE including a respirator on a daily basis
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in spray foam application and related techniques
- Previous experience in construction, insulation, or a related field is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
