Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Technician- Hatton

Work Schedule: Standard business hours (40 hours a week).
Hours: Monday through Friday - 8am to 5pm. Occasional hours may be required outside
of these hours as needed.

Role Summary and Strategic Impact
The Shipping & Receiving Technician supports construction operations by ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are accurately received, stored, and distributed. This role is essential to maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting job site readiness, and ensuring projects remain on schedule through efficient material handling and coordination.
Core Responsibilities
I. Receiving & Inventory Control
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of plumbing materials (pipe, fittings, valves, fixtures, etc.) for accuracy and damage
- Match packing slips and purchase orders to delivered plumbing materials and components
- Identify, tag, and properly store materials by type, size, and specification (PVC, copper, cast iron, PEX, etc.)
- Enter received materials into inventory systems and maintain accurate stock levels
- Identify and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to project manager
II. Shipping & Job Site Support
- Pull, stage, and prepare plumbing materials for job sites, service calls, and prefab/shop work orders
- Coordinate material requests with project managers, superintendents, and shop personnel
- Assemble and stage material kits based on job requirements, prints, or pick lists
- Load and unload trucks safely, ensuring materials are secured and protected during transport
- Support timely and accurate delivery of materials to field crews to prevent job delays
III. Warehouse Organization & Safety
- Organize and maintain inventory of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment in designated areas
- Label and store materials by size, type, and job allocation for easy access
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard environment
- Follow company safety standards, including proper handling of pipe, fittings, and heavy materials
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure accuracy
Required Qualifications and Competencies
Experience: Prior experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or plumbing/construction materials preferred- Technical Proficiency: Ability to use inventory systems, basic computer applications, and material-handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with plumbing materials (pipe types, fittings, valves, fixtures) and how they are used in the field is strongly preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Key Traits: Strong attention to detail; dependable and punctual; team-oriented with solid communication skills; ability to read material lists or basic prints is a plus; physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
Compensation and Benefits (Wichita Falls, TX)
Base Salary Range: $37,440–$49,920 per year.- Relocation: Not available.
