Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values professionalism, empathy, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures, ensuring proper positioning and comfort.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Document patient care activities thoroughly in medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in diverse healthcare settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable.
- Experience performing patient transfer methods using Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) and CPR is required.
- Understanding of infection prevention protocols including aseptic technique and universal precautions across various clinical environments.
