Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician Assistant to support our electrical team in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various construction and industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside licensed electricians on diverse projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for safety, and a desire to develop their skills in electrical systems and construction environments. Prior experience with electrical wiring, blueprint reading, conduit bending, and safety procedures is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Support conduit bending, electrical wiring, and the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems according to schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to perform electrical work safely and efficiently.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and protocols in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Aid in the installation of electrical systems including conduit runs, wiring connections, and system testing.
- Assist with construction site tasks such as framing carpentry when necessary for electrical installations.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Support the team in adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work on construction sites or industrial facilities.
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) compliance standards for electrical installations.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices.
- Familiarity with electrical wiring techniques for low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Experience working on construction sites or industrial facilities is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and protocol adherence at all times.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working at heights if required.
- Valid construction site experience with adherence to safety standards is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn.

Pay: $24.14 - $29.07 per hour
