Responsibilities:
Safe and Reliable Driving
- Safely and reliably deliver products to customers.
- Maintain clear and friendly communication with customers about delivery status and schedule changes.
- Collaborate with Dispatch and Landscape Yard Team to confirm accurate products and locations before departure.
- Use a delivery app to manage schedules, track delivery details, and contact customers as needed.
Customer Service
- Greet and assist retail yard customers professionally and efficiently.
- Provide informed product recommendations, staying up-to-date on product offerings.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone, schedule deliveries, and manage data in company systems.
- Ensure timely and friendly service, exceeding customer expectations.
Retail Yard Load-Out
- Keep the retail yard organized and set up for efficient customer service.
- Operate skid steers and front-end loaders to assist with small retail loads (<10 yards).
- Maintain equipment through regular cleaning, greasing, fueling, and general upkeep.
- Help load bagged or bucketed products for customers and rake/hose down products as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the front office and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Dirt Hugger Brand Ambassador
- Represent the Dirt Hugger brand by teaching customers about our awesome products and services.
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle, ensuring a positive impression in the community.
- Act as the company’s "eyes and ears" for potential future opportunities.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Must be willing to work Saturdays.
- Driving experience is required.
- Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required), must be willing to provide a driving record prior to interview.
- Prior experience in delivery or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and small equipment such as skid steers and loaders (training provided if necessary).
- Basic proficiency with technology, including delivery apps, Google Sheets, and other digital tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capability to operate heavy machinery (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- A safety-first mindset, adhering to company and traffic safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bilingual skills? Great! We pay an extra $0.50/hour for bilingual communicators.
