Job Summary:
The Cashier/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting customers, managing seating, processing payments, and ensuring a positive experience. This role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
1. Customer Service Skills
- Friendly, welcoming demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
2. Cash Handling & POS Experience
- Process transactions accurately (cash, credit, mobile payments).
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
3. Organization & Multitasking
- Manage seating charts, waitlists, and reservations efficiently.
- Balance cash register and maintain accurate sales records.
4. Communication
- Clear verbal English skills (additional languages an advantage).
- Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and managers.
5. Appearance & Professionalism
- Neat, presentable appearance (uniform/dress code compliance).
- Punctuality and reliability.
6. Flexibility
- Willingness to assist with light duties (answering phones, cleaning lobby, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for handling cash.
