Job Overview
Washington Auto Parts is hiring an experienced Auto Parts Store General Manager to help lead a busy aftermarket and OEM auto parts operation.
This is not an entry-level position and it is not a training job. We are looking for someone who already has real auto parts knowledge, can sell over the phone and at the counter, can work quickly on a computer, and can help run the store day to day.
The right candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish. A large percentage of our customers speak Spanish, and part of the interview will be conducted in Spanish.
You must also have real automotive knowledge. Interviews will include questions about parts, fluids, fitment, vehicle systems, returns, and common customer situations. If you do not have actual auto parts experience, this will become clear quickly.
We run a fast-moving, high-volume operation. The right person is sharp, organized, computer-literate, dependable, and able to lead people while also selling and solving problems.
Compensation
$75,000–$90,000+ per year potential
Compensation includes:
- Guaranteed base salary: $60,000–$72,000 per year, depending on experience
- Performance-based commission: based on net sales and store performance
- Strong performers can earn additional weekly commission when sales targets are met
- Payroll is paid weekly
- Final commission structure will be discussed during the interview and finalized after the ramp-up period
This is a serious earning opportunity for someone who can actually sell parts, manage people, and keep a busy store operating correctly.
