Onsite Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
CONTRACT TERM
6-month contract with high likelihood of extension/conversion to full-time employee
POSITION OVERVIEW - The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
- Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
- Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.
- Submit daily pricing & audit claim/credits in SAP/ERP platform to submit and clear high volume deductions for Retail and Pro business channels
- Aggregate and submit claim information
- Perform end-to-end internal and external financial audit of Lowes monthly/annual program billing
- Identify root cause, investigate, and develop solutions for pricing variance events
- Ability to present analyses/findings in clear simple terms to Finance and Executive Leadership in weekly and monthly meetings
- Provide recommendations on pricing/audit validations process improvements; create process improvement plans
- Document processes and store in historical repository for future use in training and post audit validations. Lead trainings on said processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required.
- 0-2 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
- Advanced proficiency Excel required
- Ability to understand complex financial and operational processes
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly collaborative and flexible to adapt to team dynamics, changes in schedule, and procedure
- Outstanding ability to juggle competing priorities and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Detail Oriented; thoroughness in work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
