Teaching Assistant, After School Arts and Recreation Programs
The Shames JCC is hiring a Teaching Assistant for our after-school art, dance, music, cooking, sewing, chess, and theater classes.
The Teaching Assistant will assist the instructors with set-up and clean-up, managing and preparing materials, and helping students during the class. We are looking for a pro-active person who can be flexible and professional with our parents ands staff.
Requirements:
Must be at least 17 years of age.
Qualifications:
- Enjoy actively engaging with children
- Education and/or experience in camp, babysitting, education or youth recreation, preferred
- Strong sense of responsibility and are pro-active
- Good communication skills
- Reliability, patience, and a good sense of humor
- On-time
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 per week
