Pizza & Sandwich Cook (Nights & Weekends) Beek’s Joint Bar Part-Time with opportunity for more hours
Beek’s Joint is looking for a reliable, hardworking Pizza & Sandwich Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a fast-paced neighborhood bar and grill known for our specialty pizzas, hoagies, paninis, and high-energy atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well under pressure, and understands the importance of consistency, food safety, and teamwork.
Schedule
- Primarily evening and weekend shifts
- Nights, weekends, and some holidays required
- Part-time to start with potential for additional hours
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items to recipe standards
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation during busy service periods
- Properly prep, stock, and rotate food items
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and front-of-house staff
- Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties
- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Requirements
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Ability to work nights and weekends consistently
- Strong understanding of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen sanitation
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently when needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous kitchen, pizza, deli, or line cook experience preferred — but willing to train the right person with a great attitude
