About the Role
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing a smooth and positive checkout experience while assisting customers with purchases, payments, questions, and basic service needs. You'll also support the sales floor and work with team members to maintain an organized and customer-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Checkout
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Process purchases accurately using POS and checkout systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other approved payment methods.
- Provide receipts and ensure transaction accuracy.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies.
- Answer customer questions about products, pricing, promotions, and store policies.
- Resolve basic customer concerns and involve management when necessary.
Sales & Store Support
- Recommend products, promotions, and special offers when appropriate.
- Assist customers in locating products and provide basic product information.
- Support sales initiatives and contribute to store sales goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.
- Assist with promotional displays and seasonal sales activities.
- Work closely with team members to provide an efficient customer experience.
