American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with 1-2 years of experience and Olympus scope proficiency for a 13-week day shift contract at an acute care hospital in the Salem, MA area.

Work in an 8-room Endoscopy unit with 3 MAC and 5 conscious sedation procedure rooms, plus holding and recovery areas
-
18 PACU bays with a 1:2-3 clinician-to-patient ratio; 1:1 ratio in procedural rooms

Unit sees approximately 60-70 procedures per day

Patient population includes all ages and case types
-
Monday through Friday day shifts, 7:15a-3:45p, with a rotating shift of 8:00a-4:30p; department hours are 6:30a-5:30p

On-call coverage required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

No floating required

Charting via Epic EMR
-
Minimum 1-2 years of GI/Endoscopy Tech experience

Proficiency in Olympus scope setup, handling, and reprocessing

Active BLS certification from AHA only — Red Cross, CHSF, and Military BLS are not accepted at this location

SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred

License required if applicable — MA conditional licenses are not accepted

Assist with GI/Endoscopy procedures including scope setup, reprocessing, and supporting clinical staff throughout the procedure workflow

Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos

Local candidates whose permanent residence is within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate

Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking costs typically range from $17-$22 per day
