Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and non-alcoholic drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining accountability
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas by performing regular cleaning and sanitizing tasks in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients or beverage options, and provide excellent customer service
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality during beverage preparation and food service
- Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks such as serving, drink service, and food preparation
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role with knowledge of beverage preparation techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and managing sales accurately
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience with coffee brewing techniques and beverage service standards is highly desirable
