Shipping/Receiving and ADMIN Clerk:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Plainfield, CT. In this role, you will be a key part of our shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all materials are accurately processed and recorded. The ideal candidate is comfortable using MRP systems, takes pride in keeping a clean workspace, and communicates effectively with truck drivers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for shipments and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with customer service and management and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning and insuring accuracy.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support to other team members.
Work Hours & Benefits:
This position is Monday to Friday and time to be determined. Summer hour flexibility available and vacation time.
Key Responsibilites:
- Accurately record, process, and verify all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage and track orders utilizing the company’s Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
- Maintain highly organized records by scanning, filing, and managing daily shipping documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for truck drivers, providing clear communication and directions.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Strong overall computer literacy.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.).
- Prior experience utilizing MRP systems or similar inventory/ERP software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
