Reporting To: Maintenance & Logistics Manager
Responsible For: Customer service, preventative maintenance program, user support, monitoring and addressing maintenance items to avert critical failure. When failure occur, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair the equipment or facilities.
Job Purpose: To ensure quality single point of customer service, on time / timely diagnostic troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
Salary: Based on experience: Estimated $24 to $33 per hour

Construction experience includes over 40 Design-Build chemical and biological test facilities, munitions maintenance facilities, military aircraft hangars, and other industrial/institutional facilities. Manufacturing experience includes aircraft maintenance stands, chemical and biological test chambers, paint, and blast booths, containerized biological containment transport units, and ground support equipment for aircraft.
The Operations Team plays a crucial role in supporting both our construction and manufacturing departments and is responsible for allocating appropriate resources necessary for successful set-up, outfit, maintenance, and demobilization of project sites. Seamless coordination is the goal of this team. Ensuring our core equipment and facility services are in working order and available to our field teams as well as the mobilization of satellite sites is the core of our operational charter.

Job Description
The Maintenance Technician works directly under the Maintenance & Logistics Manager to prioritize and execute necessary equipment and facility repairs and improvements.
In addition to daily operational and preventative maintenance responsibilities, periodic special projects are completed each quarter. These projects focus on operational improvements across manufacturing, construction, maintenance, and shipping departments.
Support duties are primarily based at HHIs main campus in Ogden, Utah, with support provided to satellite offices in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and additional project locations including Hill Air Force Base and other domestic and international sites.
Some travel is required, including out-of-state travel for occasional project support, repairs, mobilization/demobilization efforts, and specialized training as needed.
Daily Activities Include (but are not limited to):

Maintaining accurate repair and maintenance records for each piece of equipment

Identifying opportunities for operational improvements

Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures

Collaborating with the Maintenance & Logistics Manager on repair strategy

Performing repairs on automotive, small engine, and diesel equipment

Supporting facility-related maintenance items

Technical Experience

Experience with low-voltage systems (required)

Welder repair and wiring harness repair

Manufacturing equipment repair (including troubleshooting and replacing breakers)

Working directly with equipment manufacturers for technical support

Ability to research technical documentation and industry resources to resolve issues
