Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders or retail purchases using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately while maintaining balanced cash drawers.
- Prepare simple food items or assist in food preparation to ensure quick service during busy hours.
- Upsell menu items or retail products to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, sanitizing work areas, and following food safety protocols.
- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in pricing, discounts, and inventory tracking.
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, serving, and sanitation practices to uphold food safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service restaurant environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing.
- Background in food service, café work, butcher shops or retail sales transactions provides a strong foundation for success.
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Experience with grocery store operations or food industry roles demonstrates adaptability and customer service expertise.
- Prior cashiering experience combined with excellent time management skills ensures smooth workflow during peak hours.
