Frederick Steel Fabrication Shop is seeking a qualified and experienced Field Welder / Steel Erector/Field Foremen with strong work ethic to join our team. This position is ideal for a well-rounded professional with a solid background in structural and miscellaneous steel installation who can work independently or as part of a team.
As a job shop, we perform a wide range of projects, including:
- Structural steel
- Stairs, handrails, and guardrails
- Gates and custom metalwork
- Sheet metal
- Industrial and millwright work
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding, fabrication, and steel erection in the field
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, and customers
- Enforce company policies, job site procedures, and OSHA safety regulations
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and lead by example
Requirements:
- Valid, non-restricted driver’s license (required)
- 5–7 years of experience in the steel or iron working industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read drawings and fabricate in the field
- Must be able to obtain welding certifications
- Own hand tools and reliable transportation
- Fluent in English

Compensation & Benefits:
- $25.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience
