(Looking to fill two (2) Limited Duration Intern positions)
The essential function of this position is to learn and assist city staff in maintaining effective and efficient operations in the Planning & Development Services department, as well as other administrative functions as assigned. Project assignments to include assisting with research, analysis and reporting on various topics pertaining to local municipal government, assisting in the evaluation and effectiveness of programs/projects, and preparing reports with research/analysis findings and recommendations. The position is responsible for performing various clerical and technical duties, and works under direct supervision.
This position is non-exempt. Fair Labor Standards Act overtime provisions will apply.
- Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods.

Exerts up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis.

Operates office equipment requiring moderate dexterity.

Must have good finger/hand dexterity, hand/eye coordination, good eyesight, hearing, and speech.

Requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing, and speaking abilities.
Work Environment
Works inside in an environmentally controlled space, but the position will occasionally work in adverse environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, and rain) for moderate periods of time.
