Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Unit Manager
As an RN Unit Manager, you will provide clinical leadership, oversee nursing operations, and ensure outstanding patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing leader who thrives on teamwork, quality care, and professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Coordinate patient assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
- Manage daily unit operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
- Oversee medication administration, IV therapy, catheter care, ventilator management, and tube feeding.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and long-term care regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams for patient care and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, Epic, or Athenahealth.
- Mentor and educate nursing staff on clinical best practices, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license.
- Previous leadership or nurse management experience preferred.
- Experience in acute care, ICU, emergency, trauma, medical-surgical, long-term care, geriatrics, behavioral health, or critical care.
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation.
- Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and healthcare regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- BLS Certification required.
- Additional experience in dialysis, ventilator care, pediatrics, or utilization management is a plus.
