Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert menu knowledge, and a welcoming attitude. You will be responsible for creating memorable moments for our guests while efficiently managing food and beverage service. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest experience
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items, including specialty cocktails, spirits, wines, and desserts to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle transactions efficiently through POS systems, processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; assist with bussing and resetting tables as needed
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and preparation processes
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address inquiries or concerns promptly, and promote guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food safety protocols
- Prior experience in sales or upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transaction processing
- Food industry experience including food handling, sanitation practices, and food preparation is preferred
- Previous roles such as host/hostess or busser that demonstrate guest relations skills are beneficial
