Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Warehouse Logistics Manager to lead our supply chain operations and optimize warehouse performance. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse management, transportation planning, inventory control, and process improvement initiatives. Your leadership will ensure seamless coordination between procurement, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and accuracy. Duties
- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution.
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) to plan and optimize freight routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Implement process improvements using Lean methodologies to streamline workflows and eliminate waste across the supply chain.
- Monitor profit & loss statements, prepare budgets, and control expenses related to warehousing and transportation activities.
- Utilize ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent to track inventory levels, analyze supply chain data, and support demand planning efforts.
- Conduct production planning in collaboration with procurement and manufacturing teams to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement by analyzing supply chain analytics and implementing best practices in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to forklift operation, dispatching, freight handling, and warehouse procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision with strong leadership skills in supervising teams within fast-paced environments.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management including inventory control, procurement, purchasing, and materials management.
- Expertise in transportation planning, freight management, fleet management, and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning tools.
- Strong understanding of process improvement techniques like Lean methodology and continuous improvement strategies.
- Ability to analyze supply chain data using supply chain analytics tools for demand planning and operational insights.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners
- Familiarity with safety standards related to warehouse operations including forklift certification and OSHA compliance.
