Nashua Adult Learning Center is seeking a Director of Adult Education to join our team.
The Director of Adult Education will be a dynamic leader who can inspire a team of educators, foster partnerships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult education, program management, and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs
- Develop and execute strategic plans, including setting goals, measuring outcomes, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators and program support staff. Promote professional development and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure integration of technology into instructional practices and classroom activities for students using Canvas, the Google Suite, and additional technology tools.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, partners, and stakeholders. Advocate for the needs of adult learners and represent the organization at community events and meetings.
- Manage program budgets, identifying funding opportunities and assisting in grant writing to support program sustainability and growth.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness through data collection and analysis. Present findings as required by the Center.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university with training necessary to implement and supervise programs for adults; Master’s preferred
- Previous experience in education or human services with knowledge of adult learners
- Solid computer skills, familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, online databases, learning management systems, and related technology.
This position is in-person, requiring in state and occasional out of state travel.
Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (some evenings required)
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
