Pre-K-8 Building Substitute Teacher, Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Elementary
Gwynedd-Mercy Academy is seeking a creative and talented education professional to join our highly experienced faculty as a full-time Building Substitute. The goal of the Building Substitute Teacher is to provide a consistent substitute to fill in for a school’s daily absences or vacancies. The Building Substitutes may work anywhere they are needed, from PreK to 8th grade, including duties as assigned by school administration.
Essential Performance Expectations:
Complete the lesson plans left by the teacher.
Complete extra duties the teacher may normally do (i.e. hall duty, lunch duty or car or bus line).
Follow attendance reporting procedures.
Follow and enforce the rules of the school and classroom.
Be a positive role model.
Ensure high academic standards and set goals.
Develop positive relationships with students.
Enhance the school’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
Effectively communicate with administration, colleagues, students, and parents.
Uphold Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Elementary’s standards for professionalism, leadership, and personal responsibility.
Demonstrate collegial behavior and make positive contributions to the school community.
Job Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in an education-related field.
· PA Teaching Certificate.
· Clearances and Trainings Include:
o PA State Criminal Record Check
o PA State Child Abuse Clearance
o Federal Criminal History Fingerprint Clearance
o Mandated Reporter Online Training
o Protecting God’s Children Virtus Training
o Act 126 Training
