VR & Gaming Technician – IT Hardware / Customer Service
Player One VR World is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and technically capable team member who enjoys gaming, computers, VR, and working with people.
Important: This is approximately 70% Customer Service / 30% Technical
This is not a traditional desk IT position. Most of your shift will involve helping customers, operating VR and gaming experiences, checking guests in, explaining games, and making sure customers have a great experience.
Approximately 30% of the position involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing our computers, VR systems, and other technology.
We are looking for someone who has strong customer service skills AND real hands-on computer hardware knowledge.
Customer Service & Operations — Approximately 70%
- Greet and check in customers
- Explain VR games and experiences
- Help customers choose appropriate games and experiences
- Set up customers with VR headsets and gaming equipment
- Provide instructions and safety briefings
- Monitor customers while they are playing
- Assist customers when they have questions or problems
- Reset and prepare rooms and equipment between groups
- Help with birthday parties, groups, and special events
- Answer basic customer questions in person and over the phone
- Keep gaming areas, equipment, and workstations clean and organized
- Provide friendly, patient, and professional customer service
- Work with the team during busy weekends and holidays
Technical & Hardware — Approximately 30%
- Troubleshoot gaming PCs, VR headsets, controllers, trackers, sensors, and peripherals
- Diagnose PC hardware and Windows/software problems
- Replace or install components such as GPUs, RAM, SSDs, power supplies, fans, and cables
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks
- Troubleshoot basic Ethernet, Wi-Fi, router, switch, and connectivity problems
- Set up and configure PCs and VR equipment
- Troubleshoot displays, projectors, cameras, sensors, and other attraction technology
- Organize and maintain cables and equipment
- Identify recurring technical problems and help develop permanent solutions
What We're Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing, patient, and comfortable talking with customers
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware
- Comfortable building, upgrading, or repairing PCs
- Familiar with Windows and PC troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of networking and Ethernet/Wi-Fi
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Interest in gaming, VR, electronics, or entertainment technology
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to stay calm when troubleshooting equipment while customers are waiting
- Comfortable working with children, families, adults, parties, and large groups
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Computer repair or PC building
- IT support or help desk
- Gaming PCs
- VR hardware or software
- Networking
- Electronics
- AV equipment
- Arcades, escape rooms, family entertainment centers, or attractions
- Retail, hospitality, or customer service
VR experience is not required. We can train you on our specific VR and gaming systems.
What matters most is that you are great with customers, comfortable with computers and hardware, dependable, and willing to learn.

Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
